All her life she had been considered different in one way or another. For the most part, it had been her genius intellect level that had set her apart from other children her age. For the young teenager, it had been frustrating holding a conversation with those her age and had discovered that talking to adults was a lot easier - if it weren't for the fact that they would soon get unnerved at her level of knowledge.
And then she had to find out that she was a mutant with the ability to phase. Just another thing that would make her different. At least with this one though, there would be other's like her struggling to come to terms with thier mutations.
Still... being normal for once would be nice.
Kitty sighed as she sat with her legs dangling over the edge. She looked up at the sky and leant back, watching as the sun setted over the horizon.
She remained like this for who knows how long.

Since he had been shot at the school Logan had been taken here by Jean. Gaining some of his strength back he was wandering down the mansion and soon was walking over the top of the roof, his hands in his pockets and somehow able to keep balance. His eyes where cast down. He looked like a guy around his twenties. Yet his age was a bit higher, even if he himself didn’t know it. He had somehow gotten close to Jean. Stopping he looked to the side and down to see someone sit on the edge.
He stood there for a moment and stared at the kid. She seemed very young. Probably still hoped she would be normal some day. He knew that wouldn’t happen, but then he never really stood still by the fact he could be. So for now he just hang around the mansion and would see what this Xavier guy had to offer him. Moving down he slid the last bit until he sat not to far from Kitty. The view she had from here was pretty good he had to admit.
He didn’t speak though.

The only indication that she acknowledge his presence was the slight turn of her head as she eyed him before turning back to view in front of her. Kitty had seen him around the mansion, Jean had taken him back to the mansion after some incident at school she recalled. But she actually hadn't met the guy and so kept her distance from him.
With the sun setting, the temperature dropped slightly. But it was still summer so that didn't have much effect on her. Kitty actually enjoyed the cool breeze as it swept by. It had a calming effect on her as for a moment there she forgot all her worries and just enjoyed the view.
Minutes would past before Kitty broke the silence even though both seemed content with their present circumstance.
"You're the one Jean brought back."
She stated, turning her head so she was looking at him while she spoke. Kitty studied him, he seemed a bit old for someone who was still in school and wasn't probably the type of person she would walk up to on the street and start a pleasant conversation with. Something about him gave her the feeling of danger.

Logan now looked to the side as the kid finally spoke up about the small fact Jean had taken him there. He nodded slowly. Xavier hadn’t seen him yet and he wondered when the male would. Jean had told he was a powerful telepath who could help him with whatever he was looking for.
“She did.”
He replied, his voice was low and gruff. Yet it didn’t sound very threatening. His eyes trailed over her for a moment and then locked on hers. They where… feral… yet some sort of gentleness and kindness could be found in there, with sorrow and hate. He knew his eyes often captivated people. Windows to his soul some had called them.
He figured it was just because most people found the way he looked weird, and the way he acted even more if it came to woods and such. He would often go out into the forests and spend days on end in there. Right now however he would have to wait and see if this professor guy could help him in any way.

Any fear she had felt towards him dissolved when his eyes met hers. She was enthralled by the look in his eyes, a contrast to his appearance and the low tone of his voice. There was also something wild about him, Kitty had certainly never met someone who exhibited the same feel to them as this man did.
"You staying for long?"
The teenager asked, new people were arriving almost every day. Though some would decide that the X-Mansion just wasn't for them and would then leave. She wondered if he would be one of the one's that stayed... or the one's that left.
"I'm Kitty by the way... Kitty Pryde. Never call me Katherine though."
She introduced herself. She figured that if he would stay then she might as well get to know him. They would be, after all, sharing the same mansion.

Logan looked at the sun which was slowly setting pondering over that very question. He wasn't sure if he where to stick around. He after all was here on other business. He was grateful Jean had showed him this place... and he liked the girl... possibly loved. But the deals he had made and the scores he had to settle where still there.
"We'll see... Perhaps I will."
He replied. He would see what the Professor could do for him and perhaps in the meantime deal with what came in his path. Should this get to much and bring danger to Jeannie.. he would leave. Not forever but until he had settled it.
His head turned back to Kitty now as she introduced herself. Kitty Pride. Simple to remember. He looked at her for a moment and then looked ahead. He didn't carry a last name. And the name he did have... he doubted it was really his.
"They call me Logan."

"Logan... Scottish and Gaelic origin, meaning 'hollow'."
Kitty spoke, she had been interested in names at one point during her short life and obssessed with name meanings and origins. Give her a name, she could probably recite it's origin and meaning without too much difficulty.
"You should stay." She continued without skipping a beat, "Professor Xavier's a nice-enough person. Most people wouldn't take in a whole group of teenagers, who are mutants as well."
There was something bitter about her tone at the end as she spoke of mutants. She still hadn't come to terms with her new ability. As if she didn't have enough on her mind already without the added complications of developing a power.

Logan looked at her for a moment as she spoke up about the name. He hadn't really given the name any thought. It had been given to him some time back. His eyes moved down to the ground below as she spoke on about how he should stay.
"I don't do well in groups."
He stated. It was the truth. It didn't matter where he went people would find him again and in the end he would put those in danger who he had grown close to. So it would be best for him to not stick around for too long.
"I haven't even met the guy yet."
He added.

"That makes the two of us," She said with a shrug. "I just never really fitted in anywhere else... The kids thought I was a nerd, the adults didn't understand. I've never belonged, until I got to here."
Kitty leaned back, using her hands to support her as her gaze from him to up to the sky. It was ironic that they were talking about not doing well in groups, it was the reason why she was up here in the first place. So that she could ponder the topic.
She looked back at him as he continued speaking, raising an eyebrow.
"Well you should then... whenever you get the opportunity. He's an interesting character."

Logan looked to the side as Kitty spoke up she was the same in that and didn't fit in very well in school. Logan shook his head lightly and looked down.
"I don't think it's quite the same."
He replied, it wasn't that he wasn't fitting into school, he did pretty well there. It was the fact he wasn't someone who could be in society, and who knew he shouldn't be. At least he had been half brainwashed into believing he wasn't accepted.
"I bet he is."
Logan wanted to know just how this man was able his eyes where moving to the side to the kid beside him who seemed to be happy and yet not about being here.
